How to use your SteamHeat Pro.

Five steps to your first session, plus everything you need for daily care, settings, and what to do if anything feels off.

Read this first

Three things that catch most people off-guard. If you read nothing else, read this.

The mist is warm, not hot.

SteamHeat Pro is preset to around 40-42°C, the safe range for the area around your eyes. The warmth is intentionally gentle and may take 5 to 15 seconds to build. If you are expecting boiling-style steam, you will think it is broken. It is not.

It stops after 12 minutes, and that is normal.

Each session is 12 minutes long. The device shuts off automatically when it is done. To run another session, just press the power button again. A full charge gives you around 5 to 7 sessions.

Use plain tap water, not distilled.

Fill it with ordinary tap water. Avoid distilled or purified water, since it is too pure for the atomizer to mist properly. There is no special solution to buy, ever.

How to use it

Five steps. Two minutes from box to first session.

1

Fill the water tank

Use the small fill bottle from the box. Open the soft stopper at the top of the device, squeeze water into the port until full (about 8ml, do not overfill), then press the stopper firmly back into place.

Use plain tap water. Do not use distilled or purified water.

2

Power on

Long-press the left button (power) for about 1.5 seconds. The device beeps and starts in pulsed mist mode (1 second on, 2 seconds off). Press once more for continuous mist. Press a third time to pause. Long-press again to turn it off.

3

Set the heat

Press the right button (heat) once for Level 1, a gentle warmth. Press again for Level 2, the warmest setting at around 42°C. Press a third time to turn the heat off.

Give it 5 to 15 seconds for the warmth to build. If it feels mild, that is by design.

4

Put it on

Remove your contact lenses and any eye makeup first. Then adjust the strap with the slider so the mask sits snug but comfortable, place it over both eyes, and close them.

A snug fit matters. If the mask sits loose, the warm mist escapes before it reaches your eyes.

5

Relax for 12 minutes

Lie back, breathe slowly, and let the warm mist do its work. The device shuts off on its own when the session ends.

To run another session, press the power button again. Use it once or twice a day for best results.

Care & cleaning

Looking after your device keeps the mist consistent and your routine hygienic.

After every session

  • Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  • Wipe the outside of the device with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • Store it dry, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Every 1 to 2 sessions

  • Detach the silicone face seal from inside the mask.
  • Rinse the silicone with warm water, wring it out, and air-dry it fully.
  • Reattach it when completely dry.

Important

  • Never submerge the main device in water. Only the silicone face seal is washable.
  • Do not use detergent, alcohol, or harsh cleaners on the device body.
  • If the mist gets weaker over time, see the vinegar refresh in Troubleshooting below.

Troubleshooting

Most issues are simple fixes. Tap any question below.

  • This is almost always expected. SteamHeat Pro delivers a gentle warm mist at around 40-42°C, not hot steam. A few things to try:

    1. Switch to Level 2, the warmest setting.
    2. Allow 5 to 15 seconds for the warmth to build.
    3. Check the fit. If the mask sits loose, warmth escapes before reaching your eyes. Adjust the strap so it sits snug.
    4. Make sure the device is fully charged.

If after a full charge on Level 2 the mask still does not warm up at all within 30 to 60 seconds, email us at support@heliamo.com and we will arrange a replacement.

  • No. Each session is intentionally 12 minutes. To run another session, just press the power button again. A full charge gives you around 5 to 7 sessions in total.

  • The atomizer can develop a thin mineral film over time. Refresh it like this:

    1. Add 4 to 5 drops of white vinegar to the water tank.
    2. Run the device for about 2 minutes.
    3. Empty the tank, refill with tap water, and run for another minute.
    4. Empty the tank again. The mist should return to normal.

Repeat once more if needed. If the mist still does not return, contact us.

  • Connect the included USB-C cable, charge for at least 30 minutes, then try again. Charging takes around 1 to 2 hours from empty to full.

If it still will not turn on after charging, email us at support@heliamo.com.

  • Stop using the cable immediately and do not continue charging. Check that the cable is fully inserted at both ends, and try a different USB power source (a different wall adapter or computer port).

If the issue persists, contact us at support@heliamo.com. Do not keep using a cable that feels off.

  • No. Always unplug the device before turning it on for a session. Charge it separately, then disconnect and use.

When not to use SteamHeat Pro

Your safety comes first. Please read this section before your first session.

Don't use if: you have an active eye infection, recent eye surgery, undiagnosed eye pain or sudden vision change, an eyelid swelling or rosacea flare, or a fever.

Ask your eye doctor first if: you have glaucoma, AMD, or another diagnosed eye condition, eye surgery in the past 2 years, a retinal condition or high myopia, or you're pregnant or seriously ill.

Stop and see a professional if you notice: redness or irritation that does not settle within 24 hours, increased eye pain, blurred vision, discharge or swelling, or any other unexpected change during or after use.

Battery and charging safety

  • Use only the included USB-C charging cable.
  • Do not charge unattended or overnight.
  • Do not charge near flammable materials.
  • If the device shows signs of swelling, abnormal heat, unusual smell, or leakage, stop using it, do not charge it, and contact us immediately.
